Military mercy dash rescues rare bristlebirds from Victorian bushfires

In early February, as bushfires raged around East Gippsland in Victoria, a team of scientists and environmental authorities were flown into the firegrounds by army helicopter. Their mission? To rescue 15 birds and ensure the species survived.
